


It’s the year 2011 and the player plays the role of “Scar”, a mercenary that survives a blowout…a storm of strange energy that occasionally erupts from Chernobyl, the center of an area that is called the Zone. Even the story is basically the same thing, but with one of those enigmatic endings tying into the first game leaving newcomers to grapple with its weirdness.

Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky eventually mutated into its prequel which explains why a lot of it may feel like a retread of the first. Originally intended as a big content patch for its predecessor, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
